| Fibromyalgia is a debilitating disease that causes widespread body pain that normal pain relievers will not stop. It is commonly suffered along with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Myofacial Pain Syndrome, disabling the individual to the point where they cannot function normally in their daily lives. Narcotic drugs are prescribed to control the pain and most recently a drug called Lyrica is being widely used. Please take a look at some of the pages for information about fibromyalgia. I hope you will find them useful in developing your treatment plan. Read what Wikipedia says about Fibromyalgia. | Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Fibromyalgia uses many different ways to attack a person's body. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or CFS is one of the most common. This is not being tired after a hard day or just feeling lackadaisical. It is not "just in a person's mind" or "just being lazy". CFS is a constant state of exhaustion that dehabilitates the individual beyond normal fatigue. Rest or sleep do not help. Most people who suffer from Fibromyalgia also have CFS and it produces it's own symptoms that have to be managed. The CFIDS Report is a great source of information for CFS management. |
