I remember the good old' days when we used to make the trip from Gaston County to Myrtle Beach so fondly. I used to get up at sunrise, grab a cup of coffee and go sit on the beach to watch the sunrise. I miss those times. Now, I can't even walk on the beach because it hurts my legs so much and I end up with cramps and too much pain. Funny how Fibro takes away even the simplest of joys.
I did get some good news yesterday. It appears that my disability case has moved onto DDS, (Disability Determination Services). This is the first step of the actual process of their deciding whether or not I should receive "disability". At this point of the process they have received all of my doctor's records and information pertinent to my case and are beginning to evualuate it. DDS will either approve my disability or deny my claim. If approved, they will send the case back to my local office and payment will begin and if denied I will have to file an appeal. I am hopeful but not encouraged as most cases are denied the first time around. I believe my case is strong but who knows? Those people are paid to find reasons to deny my claim so it is hard to be confident, regardless of how strong I feel my case is.
More good news...nothing bounced last night...yea!!!!
I have listed the website on Topix and am placing an ad in every major city I can think of. So far, there have been a couple hits from the ads but nothing huge. It took the Letter From Santa site three years to be indexed by yahoo so without paid advertising I don't know how long it will take for the fibro site to take off, even though it is on the same domain. Still no registered users on the site forum and I don't know how to increase interest except to advertise the site. It's a vicious circle. Shoot, I can't even get my family members to register on it and offer feedback...you'd think they would relish the opportunity to vent about having to listen to me whine for the past several years about how bad I feel at least, but so far, no takers. I guess Rome wasn't built in a day, huh?
At least the drasted flu bug I had seems to be going away. Sometimes it is hard to tell where the fibro stops and normal bugs begin. Only a slight fever this morning tho so maybe it is ending. It is so cold out today and I have to go and get my methadone script filled so I would really like to shake this fever first before I have to go out. The cold makes all of the pain worse it seems and I cannot wait til winter is over.
Well, that's about it for today. If anyone reads this, please pray for my case to be approved. Take care everyone and have a good day.
